We left Waikerie and somehow took a wrong road which while heading in the right direction took us to a river ferry instead of a bridge which was a different experience and gave us the opportunity to take some pictures of the Murray River and the cliffs near by. We the continued on to Burra and Crystal Brook. Very dry desolate flat country covered in salt bush. Then in the distance we could see some mountains - the lower end of the Flinder's Ranges. While this end is not as spectacular as further north it is still very beautiful in a rugged sort of way.

We are hoping the wind will drop tomorrow as it is hard work fighting to keep the bikes on the road at the moment. Whyalla is a fairly ordinary sort of industrial town with not much to see. We are staying at a caravan park right on the Spencers Gulf. For some reason the photos won't up load at the moment so I will try again tomorrow. Off to Port Lincoln tomorrow.
